SA Idol Anke was the winner of the second season of South African Idols, beating Poseletso Sejosingoe in the final. SA Idol Anke was born in Johannesburg but grew up in Kimberley. Anke, the South African Idol is an amazing singer and has such a bubbly, fun personality.
In 2004 Anke released her debut album 'By Heart', the album lead Anke to win the SAMA Award for the best single by a female artist in 2004. One of Anke’s hit singles "Silver Lining" reached the top charts of local radio stations and sold more than 30 000 copies. Anke's music is in Afrikaans and English and reaches people in different ways. SA Idol Anke is involved in charities such as Cansa. The South African Idol's nickname is "The Kimberley Diamond".
