Mark Haze started singing at a very young age. The first instrument Mark ever played was the Piano in primary school (Bellpark Primary). Not long after, Mark started teaching himself how to play guitar at home. When Mark started high school at Settlers High, he took music as a subject and studied classical guitar at the Bellville Academy of Music.

Mark Haze can also play the trumpet, harmonica and more…
Mark Haze started my first band, ‘Novus’ the day I left school and have since played for bands; ‘Liquid Sky’, ‘Electric Monkey’, ‘The Threads’, and ‘The Mob’.
In 2001, Mark started his own band which was first named ‘Fireborne’ (Eish). It was shortly after renamed as ‘12th Avenue’ - which is the street our rehearsal studios is in, so it reminds them where they started. Mark Haze and Bjorn Faree (Guitarist) started the band. They have had a few lineup changes since. In 2005 they brought in Mark's brother Gareth Haze (Drummer). In 2010 Brian Lee (Bassist) was welcomed to the band. They have been going strong for 10 years and are looking forward to the future!
