Karaoke with Frank & Barbara
Frank and Barbara, have been attending Karaoke shows since 1991 and met at the Clive Rice Karaoke Bar in Braamfontein. We were given the opportunity by Gordon Rodway to start our own Karaoke shows in April 1999, working as one of his teams. Our greatest achievement was in August 2003 when we were able to buy our own equipment and work independently. We have performed over 3,300 Karaoke shows to date.
Frank and I are willing to oblige, friendly and hardworking. We adapt to any situation whether it is a power failure or hosting a Body Painting competition! We believe in having fun with our audience and our success is due to the pleasure we gain when the crowd enjoy THEMSELVES singing with our Karaoke!
Our core beliefs are consistency, honesty and respect. When we make a commitment to a venue, no matter what the circumstances are we are always there, on time and ready to party. We are both honest with the customers and the owners alike. We do not like fights or confrontations and are proud to say we have had very few unpleasant circumstances at our shows, even though the alcohol is flowing!
We believe in respect for all and do not allow people to twist the rules or try to tell us how to do our Karaoke show.
Frank & I will find any excuse to celebrate and have over the years celebrated many Karaoke birthdays, Karaoke engagements, Karaoke weddings, even Karaoke pregnancies and Karaoke driver’s licences! Frank is well known for his saying “ON YOUR KNEES” when everyone who sings has the choice of taking a free shooter from the bottle. It breaks the ice and everyone feels like they are part of the gang and have qualified for their tot, it is all just for fun.
Karaoke is Frank and Barbara life and have done many Karaoke functions all across Johannesburg.
