The name Big Nuz comes from 'Big' because they are doing Big things in the African Kwaito Hip Hop scene, and Nuz is the license plate of one of the biggest townships in South Africa, Umlazi.Big Nuz consists of three members and the group was formed in 2002. Big Nuz now hails from Johannesburg, South Africa. In 2002 Big Nuz did a jingle for Backstage on E TV. In 2006 Big Nuz got a record deal at Gallo Records and recorded their debut album called "Zozo". DJ Tira heard the talent of Big Nuz in 2007 and signed them to his label Afrotainment. Big Nuz has done performances around the world from Manchester in England to various venues in South Africa. Live Bands booked Big Nuz for the Fifa Fan Park in Centurion, where he played to a large crowd of people, where they delivered a stunning performance. Big Nuz is a Kwaito celebrity group who have a Afro Rap type feel to them. Big Nuz have recorded three albums and are well on their way to becoming South Africa's number one Kwaito sensation. Big Nuz have had a number of great hits and have featured with many great celebrity artists.
