Pro Kid hails from Soweto Johannesburg in South Africa and is one of the greatest Hip Hop Artists in the country. Pro Kid was signed to Gallo records after his independently released Single 'Soweto' became very popular.
Pro Kid's popularity is largely because he proudly represents South African township life. Rapping in a mixture of vernacular & English Pro Kid believes that rhyming should not be language based but what really matters is the delivery. Pro Kid has his own unique voice & persona. Pro Kid also says the way each artist defines themselves makes their rhyming different. Pro Kid does not have a formal or strategic way of writing lyrics.
Pro Kid has worked with numerous rappers like P'Diddy, Busta Rhymes and 50cent.
Our parent company Standing Ovations Entertainment booked Pro Kid at the Fifa Fan Park in Tswane in 2010.
