HAVANA GAS is the band in demand. It combines the talents of some of South Africa’s most exceptional musicians. Storme Campbell (bass/vocals) released her self-titled debut CD late 2001. The album recently reached number two on the SA Rock Digest Charts. She is a distinctive, vibrant and versatile vocalist who constantly surprises and impresses the audience. She studied bass at the Pretoria Tech Jazz School.
Doug Campbell (guitar/vocals)
signed with Virgin Records in the UK, where Sting produced three of his songs. He co-wrote the music for the movie “Heel Against The Head” and wrote the score for a TV series filmed in Europe.
Philip Holder (saxes/vocals)
is an orchestral arranger who has worked with such jazz luminaries as Bruce Cassidy, Johnny Fourie and Izio Gros. A graduate of Pretoria Tech, he is a seasoned musician, playing tenor, alto and soprano saxophones.
In Havana Gas, these talents merge to create a marvellous mix of the best music of our times. Everything from the hippest hip-hop to the smoothest soul, from the raunchiest rock to the most beautiful ballads, feature in their repertoire of golden oldies and hot hits.
